Police in Greenville, South Carolina are looking for a shoplifter who not only stole merchandise from a local Target but also broke the store’s anti-gun policy.
Just a few weeks ago Target announced a request for all gun owners to leave their guns at home and not bring them to their stores. Since then there have been numerous shootings and gun-related incidents from criminals who are in the habit of breaking gun laws and apparently ignoring the retail giant’s polite request.
According word1063, A man was stopped by a loss prevention officer at the Greenville Target. He was spotted on surveillance cameras putting merchandise into his pockets.
When he tried to leave the store without paying for the items the loss prevention officer approached him, but when the shoplifter pulled out a gun on the unarmed security guard he was able to get away. He fled the scene in a cream colored vehicle.
The shoplifter is still at large, but I’m wondering where Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety is on this. Are they against criminals bringing guns into Target or just law abiding citizens?
