Update: Feds stand down at Bundy Ranch.
I have to note that this is not completely confirmed except through reports on the Bundy Facebook page that has grown to over 30,000 fans since this whole government takeover of the Bundy ranch began.
The situation in Nevada is getting more intense and is blowing up on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. The ranch is in an epic battle with the federal government over public land the ranch has used for cattle grazing. But the feds wanted to seize the land to protect a desert tortoise that they have been euthanizing in other parts of the US because of there being so many of them.
The stand-off between protesters trying to protect their land and the government trying to steam-roll the ranch is about to reach the boiling point.
An update on the Bundy page reported that weapons have been confiscated from at least two who have been involved in the protest of the federal takeover of public land.
As the situation gets more heated it’s harder to confirm reports that are coming out. There have also been rumors about cell towers not functioning properly in the area, and if this is true it would make it much harder for information on the ground to get out.
The aerial photo that was displayed on the Bundy Facebook page (shown below) also shows what looks like a growing command center. Again, these reports have not been verified, but at this point it’s hard to verify anything going on with all the chaos on the ground.
Shortly after this picture was taken the government declared the area above the ranch a “no flight zone” which means we won’t be able to see any more pictures like this to see what’s really going on. This only begs the question, “What are you trying to hide?”
