The principal of Strobridge Elementary in California is saying that playing with toy guns makes children more likely to commit violence with real guns, according to sources at Business Insider.
So some of these schools in California are sponsoring toy gun buyback programs that give away a chance to win a bicycle if the child brings in a real TOY gun. Looks like these anti-gunners not only want to brainwash children to believe that gun owners are bad and guns are evil, but they also want to teach them how to get ripped off by only getting the “CHANCE” to win a new bike. And here we thought the lottery was supposed to help the kids.
But the principal’s comments get even more ridiculous when he said,
“Playing with toys guns, saying ‘I’m going to shoot you,’ desensitizes them, so as they get older, it’s easier for them to use a real gun,”
We would love to take a survey of how many of our readers have played with guns as children and have NEVER once committed a crime with a real one. But we are guessing that even a 100% figure would not satisfy the anti-gun crowd that is fixed on “desensitizing” everyone from their constitutional rights.
If playing with toy guns and running around like cops and robbers makes kids want to kill people, then what happened with the millions of us who actually DID play with toy guns (including pretending our hands were guns)? Did we miss the memo that we are supposed to be lawless criminals or are these gun control fanatics just trying to brainwash the next generation so they don’t have so many gun owners to convince that the 2nd amendment does not really belong?
Schools simply aren’t teaching anymore. They are indoctrinating and pushing political agendas onto the next generation. That’s why why have seen so many bizarre stories lately with schools going nuts over kids with toy guns.
We wrote recently about the boy who was suspended because he made gun noises while holding his pencil because he wanted to be like his dad who was a marine. And then there was the story about the toy gun the size of a quarter that got a young school child in big trouble, and just last week a boy was suspended because he simply TALKED about guns on a school bus (and he only wanted to see lives saved with guns).
It’s no wonder that the same ones pushing for more gun bans for adults are the ones now trying to take away guns from the kids. But if they really want to make the children safer, if they REALLY want to stop future mass shootings, shouldn’t they teach how guns to be used responsibly to STOP bad guys rather than making anyone with a gun a bad guy?
What do you think about this toy gun buyback program? What do you think is the real agenda of the school sponsoring this?
