Patrick Ewing saved the lives of at least 4 people by having a concealed weapon on his person and using it properly.
Thomas McCary, a 64 year old man, had a pistol in each hand when he fired into a group of four people, one of which was a 1 year old child. He is currently being held without bond.
The story begins when McCary started an argument with a woman around 8 p.m. This is when the woman’s brother, Patrick Ewing came to help his sister out. McCary saw the brother coming and pulled a .38 out and started firing.
This is when Patrick pulled his own pistol out and returned fire. One round struck McCary in the leg. McCary then went into his house to retrieve his second firearm. As he came back to the group outside he fired 3 shots at Jeanetta Walker, her 1 year old son, and another passerby.
Patrick returned fire again to give the others a time to get to cover indoors. McCary finally fired his last rounds which struck no one at all as he retreated to his home. McCary was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and quickly booked into Jail by 3:40 a.m.
The story would not have been the same without Patrick showing up to aid his sister, nephew, and other strangers. This is one more story of self defense the mainstream news will not run…
