These anti-gun politicians are not happy about these numbers, but the facts are that more people than ever before are arming themselves in Colorado. How many more? 87% more!
In fact, more people have applied for concealed permits so far in 2013, than ALL of 2011. And 2013 is on pace to blow away the record for 2012. With over 31,000 concealed carry permits being issued from January to June of 2013, there is a loud and clear statement from Colorado gun owners, and the lawmakers who voted in the gun control laws have reason to be worried.
We already have a 1st ever recall election in Colorado for 2 senators who voted for gun control. That election is set for September 10th even though Senator Morse is trying to do everything he can to call it off, even enlisting the help of Bloomberg’s cash flow.
Some sheriff’s have reported that the number of requests for concealed carry permits have been so great that they have had to hire more staff.
Colorado laws requires that concealed carry applicants be at least 21 years old, and certification, a background check, paperwork and fees are required to be completed. Then the permit must be renewed every 5 years with a new background check.
Concealed carry has only been legal in CO since 2003 under the Concealed Carry Act. Since then over 200,000 residents have applied for permits.
