If a criminal is willing to break into a house in the middle of the day while the homeowner is home it’s only fitting that the homeowner is a gun owner. Such was the case in a Tennessee neighborhood on Sunday when a homeowner shot an intruder who broke into a bedroom window in broad daylight
According to wreg.com the homeowner has the support of his neighbors.
Glenn Henry didn’t know what was going on when he saw police in his neighborhood and was shocked to learn someone had broken into his neighbor’s house in the middle of the day, while his neighbor was inside.
“He deserves what he gets as far as I’m concerned,” said Henry.
Police say the homeowner heard a noise coming from his bedroom, grabbed his gun and shot a man as he was coming through his window.
Police say the burglar tried to run for it, but the homeowner was able to get the drop on him and hold him in the backyard until officers arrived.
The suspect is currently in the hospital in stable condition and the police have not announced any charges yet in this case.
If the anti-gunners had their way this homeowner would not only have been robbed, hurt or killed, but this crook would still be roaming the streets looking for more houses to break into. What made the different in this case? The homeowner was armed and prepared to properly make use of his firearm.
Now imagine if every homeowner were armed and ready to protect themselves. How many intruders would still feel safe in their work?
