Lines outside gun stores are longer than they’ve ever been in San Bernardino. And even though President Obama tried to blame gun stores and gun owners for the terrorist attacks in California last week, sensible Americans are realizing that they have to take matters into their own hands.
This government is not going to protect them. They’re too busy playing the blame game.
According to CBS News, a gun shop only 2 miles away from the scene of the terrorist attack in San Bernardino is seeing lines that extend outside of the store. Before the gun shop was even opened there were people ready to purchase firearms and protect their families.
Gun stores aren’t the only places seeing more business these past few days. Shooting ranges are also seeing 60% more traffic, and some of that is from first time gun owners who saw the attack as a wake up call.
Desiree Pagliuso is a single mother of three. She didn’t have a gun in the house before, but after the shooting, she does.
“The reason it’s changed now is because it’s in our neighborhood,” she said. “I’ve had you know multiple conversations with women that have never even shot guns that are looking into buying guns to be able to protect themselves.”
The current administration has used every opportunity after the San Bernardino terrorist attacks to go after gun owners in support of more stringent gun control. Ignoring the very nature of terrorism and seizing upon a political agenda is not making the community of San Bernardino feel safer.
Nerves are frayed throughout the community. On Sunday night, there was panic when reports of gunfire at a nearby shopping mall led to more than 300 law enforcement officers circling the property. It turned out to be a robbery where people mistook the sound of smashing glass for gunshots.
“People are on edge, and people are a little extra cautious,” said San Bernardino Chief Jarrod Burguan. “That’s good that’s what we are asking people to do.”
For Pagliuso, being extra cautious now means owning a gun.
“911 is not that quick a response and in 2.5 seconds they are not going to be there,” said Pagliuso.
If we were to believe the political agenda of the left we would have to conclude that being able to buy guns in America is the problem in the first place. So why are so many in the San Bernardino area buying guns? Are they terrorists as well? Or are they just now realizing that when an anti-protectionist government refuses to protect its citizens they themselves are often the first line of defense?
The terrorist couple in San Bernardino were not wearing body-armor, contrary to many false media reports. Just one gun-carrying citizen — just ONE — could have ended the bloodshed before 14 people were killed. Don’t forget what stopped these 2 cowards in the end. Good guys with guns ended the lives of these terrorists. It was not a gun law; it was not a piece of legislation; it was not even the strictest gun control in the country that stopped 2 terrorist bent on taking lives. It was good guys with guns.
Don’t ever forget that.
