Many people are starting to understand the need for defense in an armed robbery, but none understand it better than this man who was robber twice in one day.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting.
A call came in around 9:45 last night from a home in the 100 block of Plainview Drive near the corner of James Road. Deputies arrived to find one man dead inside the home from a gunshot wound.
The Madison County Coroner confirmed the man as R—– —–r, 42, of Huntsville.
The homeowner told deputies at least two men broke into the home. Shots were fired by the homeowner, who says it was in self defense.
Investigators say one of the men ran out of the back of the home. He was then seen running down Deaton Street. Huntsville police assisted deputies in the searching for the man. They even brought in a K9 to help. So far, no arrests have been made according to WHNT.
The homeowner was not injured in the break in. This was not the first time deputies were called out to this home yesterday. Authorities say they responded to another burglary call there earlier in the day.
