As if we need yet another reason not to listen to Joe Biden, this story exemplifies the fact. Remember when our beloved Vice President gave us the advice to buy a shotgun and fire a couple warning shots in the air? He actually said he gives his wife the same advice, so hopefully she was not listening.
Well now we have a man being charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing and Reckless Endangering simply because he followed the VP’s advice. No he did not use a shotgun, but if he had he would be facing the same charges.
In Medford, Oregon the police responded to a disturbance in an apartment complex.
Corey Thompson was at home when a wanted felon on the run was trying to break into his house. Thompson grabbed his AR-15 and told the intruder to stop. He then announced he was going to fire a warning shot if the felon didn’t listen.
Well it’s this “warning shot” that has Thompson in hot water. His AR-15 was taken away and he will only get it back if the court finds him not guilty.
Thompson said he fired it directly into the ground so as not to hurt anyone, but he made the critical mistake of listening to Joe Biden. Watch the news video of this incident below:
By the way, is any one else tired of hearing an AR-15 being called an “assault rifle”? Perhaps the media is trying to do the whole “if we say it enough times maybe it will magically become true” routine, but they would never ask the input of real gun owners who actually own AR-15’s and know how they operate.
