This is my kind of neighbor. When this man saw his neighbor being robbed at gunpoint he decided to do something about it and risk his own life to help him.
It was early Thursday morning in Texas when a man arrived at his house. He had been followed by an armed man decked out in tactical gear, including a bullet-proof vest.
When the man got out of his car he was confronted by the robber who ordered him to start hauling items out of the house.
This is when the neighbor saw what was going on, grabbed his shotgun (looks to be 12 gauge), and fired 3 blasts at the armed robber.
Watch the video here:
Police said the man will not be charged with shooting the robber, since he was defending his neighbor. But if you ask me he should be given a medal for risking his life to help rescue his neighbor from being robbed or potentially even worse. Details have not been given as to where the robber was shot, but it’s safe to say that his bullet-proof vest did not perform as advertised.
There were some tense moments during the investigation. Police said the man was wearing tactical gear and a first responder spotted packages in the robber’s car that were labeled Anthrax.
Not wanting to take any chances, a HazMat crew was called out early Thursday morning to check out the packages.
However, the crew said the suspicious materials did not test positive for anything hazardous. But it sure did give all the other neighbors something to worry about all morning.
There’s nothing like the site of firetrucks, police cars, and men in HazMat suits walking around your neighborhood in the morning. But with one less bad guy in the world, hopefully this once peaceful neighborhood can go back to being peaceful, as long as neighbors keep protecting each other by exercising their 2nd amendment rights.
