This video is generating a lot of conversation so I thought I would share it with our readers and see what your thoughts were.
A 51 year old man with a heart condition was snowmobiling with his son when the pair came upon a moose in the pathway. The father waited for the moose to move and even made some noises to encourage the moose to move on, but it was to no avail.
That’s when things went downhill fast. The moose began to charge at the snowmobile and attacked the father, kicking him in the chest.
The father then pulled out his handgun and racked the slide (apparently he forgot to put a round in the chamber before he left the house). After firing a warning shot, the father then fired off 4 more rounds at the attacking moose to protect himself and the life of his son.
While moose usually have the right of way in the wild, this incident got the the point where it was going to either be the human beings or the moose that made it. And if you don’t think a 1,000 pound moose is a serious threat, you probably have never seen one in the wild.
Opinions vary on how this incident was handled, but what are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below the video.
