A Gaston Country, NC kindergartener has been the subject of hyper political correctness after being suspended from school for making “gun gestures” with his hands. Watch Video below.
The 5-year-old’s father David Hendrix told WBTV in Charlotte, N.C. that his son was suspended for one-day for making the shape of a gun with his hand while playing army on the playground.
Even while some schools still fight the idea to have armed security officials on site to prevent real gun violence these same educators seem intent on enforcing a “zero tolerance” policy on guns which does absolutely nothing but rob kids of their innocence and creativity.
“I just felt like the punishment was way too severe,” Hendrix said.
Hendrix immediately contacted his son’s school, Pinewood Elementary School in Gaston County to request a meeting. Finally, he said administers changed their minds about the punishment.
Gaston County Schools did not reply for requests for comment from WBTV.
