On the exact same day that fast food chain Sonic announced its new “no gun” policy, an employee working there has reportedly been robbed while working as a carhop.
While no weapons were used it should be noted that robbing its employees is also against the drive-in fast food chain’s policy. Police stated that 2 males robbed the worker on Friday afternoon.
At least the robbers had the decency to respect Sonic’s “no guns” policy. Hopefully they will pass that information along to other would-be robbers in the neighborhood.
Below is the statement that Sonic put out the same day:
“We’ve considered the views and desires of our customers and employees that staff the drive-ins across the country. Accordingly, we’re asking that customers refrain from bringing guns onto our patios or into our indoor dining areas. With respect to the storage of guns in vehicles, we ask that our customers continue to honor local laws.”
Chili’s also announced their new “no gun” policy the same day and reenforced their statement today saying that their establishment sells alcohol.
