We can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing another dangerous criminal has been dealt with by our judicial system.
40-year-old George Cross has just purchased a costume for the upcoming comicon and was excited to show off his new Stormtrooper ensemble.
He went walking around the neighborhood in his Star Wars costume and thought he would entertain some children who might be fans of the George Lucas film. The nearby school was not impressed.
But not everyone in the neighborhood appreciated his levity and were apparently scared for their lives after seeing the Stormtrooper. Who knows how they would have reacted had Darth Vader himself come onto the scene.
According to Guns.com,
“I honestly opened my screen window, stuck my head out the window, and I was just like, ‘wow,’” said Jami Kelly, a concerned parent.
The principal delayed dismissal until police could arrive on the scene and apprehend Cross, who was arrested and charged with disturbing a school and violation of city ordinance which prohibits loitering within 1,000 feet of a school.
“We just can’t have things like that taking place in front of the school,” explained Lt. Rick Donnelly of the Lynn Police Department.
Cross admits he never meant any harm and was just trying to do something fun for the kids.
