Well it’s not nearly as ugly and reprehensible as some of the modified AR-15 rifles that some gun shops have started making to comply with overreaching gun control laws.
Ares Defense Systems, Inc has introduced the Ares SCR (Sport Configurable Rifle). The rifle has many of the same configurations as the AR-15 but with some modifications that take away some of the “military style” features that ignorant gun control activists (hmm is that redundant) don’t even understand.
The lower on the Ares SRC should be able to accept any AR-15 upper just like an AR-15 lower would. It’s a more traditional style rifle that offers a compromise between what has been banned in some anti-freedom states and what people in those states are trying to legally get their hands on.
I know many of our readers will be upset that such a rifle is even being made instead of fighting against the anti-gun legislature that insists on banning guns they don’t even understand. And they have a point. The thing to consider is whether or not can we continue to fight to repeal such anti-freedom laws while still enjoying what gun rights we still have left.

We have an exciting new product that we’re launching at NRA Show in two weeks, but we want to share it with all of our Facebook friends first!
So, here’s a sneak peek at the all new ARES SCR (Sport Configurable Rifle). This rifle comes in at 5.7 lbs and is such a natural pointer, that once you pull the trigger on it you’re going to find it really hard to go back to an AR…
But before I expand on this rifle further, we have some other exciting news…stay tuned!
