With potentially tens of thousands of Connecticut gun owners refusing to comply with recent gun control laws, stories like this are becoming more common place.
Last year, after Connecticut lawmakers passed some of the most restrictive gun control measures in the country, John Cinque issued a warning to these lawmakers, saying that he would not comply with their attempts to force him to register his “high capacity” magazines and semi-automatic firearms.
In a recent video interview with Connecticut gubernatorial candidate Joe Viconti, Cinque revealed a very disturbing remark that a Connecticut police officer made to him.
The CT cop told him, “I cannot wait to get the order to kick your door in.” This comment comes on the heals of another story in which a CT Lieutenant told a woman over the phone that she was anti-American
When we said that registration would lead to confiscation we meant it. History has proven it before and it will repeat itself again.
In his interview with Cinque, Viconti revealed that the very reason he got into the race to run for governor was because of the gun control legislation. “I got into the race April 4th, as the governor was signing the bill, because for me, it was the last straw,” he told Cinque.
Freedomoutpost.com reported on this story and detailed some of the conversation between the two:
Cinque agreed with Visconti. “Anytime you hear ‘common sense gun laws’ or ‘common sense gun restrictions,’ it means ‘confiscation’ to them,” he told Visconti. “That’s the only ‘common sense’ thing to the people who are spewing this out. It means confiscation in the end.”
When asked what Cinque thinks will happen, he said, “Well, if the governor is re-elected, it’s gonna be uh….not just on the Second Amendment…it’s gonna be a whole lot of changes. I have zero doubt they’re gonna go full speed ahead.”
Then he delivered the bombshell. “I can speak from my own experience, that the video that was posted….in which I said ‘I’m not going to comply’… and I stand by my words… I’ve had contact with a police officer in my home town…I live in Branford, and his words straight out were ‘I Cannot Wait to Get the Order to Kick Your Door In.'”
What blew me away was the part of the interview in which Cinque recalls a conversation with State Representative David Yaccarino. The Rep. tells Cinque that the reason the 2nd amendment was put in place was so that Colonists could attack the British. What? What kind of history was Yaccarino taught? Was he not aware that the 2nd amendment was put in place long after the Revolution was over?
But the bigger question is whether or not voters were aware of their Representative’s ignorance before he was voted into office. I’m always amazed at the reasons anti-gunners give for the 2nd amendment, all while avoiding it’s true purpose.
The truth of the matter is that the CT police officer who made the above remarks helps give everyone an idea of what gun owners are really against here. Over night tens of thousands of gun owners were turned into criminals because of an overreaching gun law that does nothing to stop gun violence and everything to restrict freedom.
Unless this law is overturned it will have to be enforced at some point if CT officials actually have the guts or want to save face, and if they do I wonder how many doors will have to be kicked in before people wake up and realize how ridiculous the law really is.
