92-year-old Joe Milspa is a World War 2 Veteran and he was not about to let an ax-wielding burglar scare him.
The intruder came crashing through the front door, breaking glass along the way. The loud sound alerted Milspa to what was going on, and he grabbed his trusty 1911 handgun.
According to police reports,
“He suddenly saw an exterior glass window of the home shatter, followed by the suspect attempting to crawl into his home through the window”.
“Just as I got around the corner on him with his axe. He poked around, I let off a shot and he took off,” Milspa told reporters.
The intruder dropped his ax and ran off.
“I could have shot him right in the head between the eyes. But I didn’t want to do that. I would have been in trouble,” Milspa said.
