The MAIG group (Mayor Against Illegal Guns) has already lost all of it’s credibility, not that it had any to begin with. When they started memorializing terrorist bombers
But now Mark Glaze, director of the MAIG, is giving some really stupid advice that could cost someone their life. Check out what he says in the VIDEO below in the interview with the well ignored Chris Matthews;
Besides the fact that he could NOT name a single case where someone wrongly used the Stand Your Ground law, Glaze managed to say a lot of other stupid things:
MARK GLAZE: Very often somebody will come at you. They might want to have a fistfight. They might come at you with an axe handle.
MATTHEWS: Would you consider the guy with the axe handle armed or not?
GLAZE: Not with a gun.
MATTHEWS: I would consider him armed.
GLAZE: I have a word for him. I grew up in Colorado where my dad was a gun dealer, and a guy who shoots somebody who has anything other than a gun when they could have done something else like talk or fight with their fists –
I can’t believe it. Matthews actually made a point I agree with. Of course someone who attacks you with an axe handle is armed! If you don’t even admit that point then it’s doubtful you have any common sense left to make an argument against citizens using guns to defend their lives.
So the advice Glaze gives is either to fight with someone who clearly has a huge advantage in bashing your brains in, or just run away so someone else can be attacked by the axe handle wielding nut job. Oh, of course you can try to deescalate the situation, because people swinging axe handles at you are very easy to reason with, right?
