Three children in New Orleans are safe because a man exercised his 2nd amendment rights and shot the armed intruder that held him at gunpoint.
This story will be ignored by the national media since it does not line up with their anti-gun views, but we thought you should know about it. After all, calling 911 was not going to stop this intruder. He was in the home, he had a gun, and he was already breaking the law by using the gun unlawfully. But what a law could not stop, a gun owner’s gun did.
According to WDSU,
“I would have done the same thing,” said Larry Levy, a neighbor. “He was protecting his family.”
According to a news release from the New Orleans Police Department, a 28-year-old man and his 36-year-old wife were sitting on their backyard patio when a masked gunman approached and demanded money. They say the gunman ordered the couple into the home where three female children, ages 6, 13 and 14, were inside.
That’s when, investigators say, the husband retrieved his gun and shot the suspect, fatally wounding him. The gunman was pronounced dead on the scene.
Too many times a victim has done exactly what an armed criminal wanted and still got shot. Hats off to this homeowner who was not about to take that chance with himself and those 3 children.
