This story is similar to one we wrote about a few months ago when a 14-year-old boy was at home with his siblings and was forced to shoot at 2 intruders who broke into the house.
This time a 14-year-old boy was at home alone when 3 men broke into his house. But someone taught this boy how to handle a gun properly and it just might have saved his life.
It’s a good thing the homeowner of this house did not have a “smart gun” that ONLY he/she could fire when the boy in the house heard someone break in. Pueblo Police in Pueblo Colorado (That’s right. The same place where an anti-gun senator was recalled) are saying that a 14-year-old boy shot at and possibly hit at least one intruder.
The teen told police that he grabbed a gun when he heard someone break into the house and fired at the suspects. He said he saw one black male and two other males that were possibly Hispanic.
When police arrived on the scene they found that the back door had been kicked in and the power to the house had been cut off. The suspects have not yet been captured.
Pueblo police are saying that there have been a rash of robberies in that area of the city. Crooks have been parking in the alley ways and then knocking on doors to see if anyone is home. If no one answers the door, they break in.
But this time they broke into the wrong house. The intruders did not run from the scene because they suddenly realized what they were doing was illegal. They fled the scene because the teenager of the house was able and willing to defend himself with a gun. Otherwise this story might have ended very differently.
We don’t make up these stories. This kind of thing is actually happening and it happens all the time. The anti-gun media ONLY report stories in which guns were used to take lives, but these same guns save lives every day.
