Even though the college student was wearing his full police uniform, this college professor was so afraid of guns that he decided he could not have the student in his class and feel safe.
The incident took place in Albany Georgia at Darton State College.
According to walb.com,
On Wednesday, a police officer was escorted from a classroom at Darton State College.
The officer is a student at the college, and was wearing his full police uniform.
The teacher was reportedly uncomfortable with having a gun in the classroom, and asked the officer to be escorted out.
Next thing he knew security guards were removing the officer from the classroom.
The university has issued a statement, reading:
“Darton State College is appreciative for the service of our law enforcement, and welcome them as students on our campus. We have apologized to the officer for our misunderstanding when he attended class on our campus, and we regret this happened. We have met with the faculty and staff involved to reiterate the Georgia Law and Darton Policy.” – Dr. Thomas Ormond, Interim Provost/VP for Academic & Student Affairs, Darton State College
It was confirmed from the school that the student did enroll in the course and had every right to be there.
time to take his money, very publicly, elsewhere.
Dean Weingarten has coined the term “disarmist”:
1. A political operative who works to disarm political opposition through the use of irrational and/or emotional arguments.
2. A person who believes that disarming citizens will reduce crime or unjustified violence, in spite of contrary evidence or facts.
3. A person who wishes to disarm others because they do not trust themselves to bear arms responsibly.

And we all know about Col. Cooper’s term “hoplophobia.”
I humbly suggest a new one: Firearm Derangement Syndrome.
As a bonus, its acronym also describes a feminine hygiene product.
I think this liberal jackass who calls himself a professor should’ve been escorted out of the classroom just for disrupting class time.
The professor was wrong and if he is that afraid of guns what does he expect our police to use against crazies and terrorist that are intent on killing as many as they can before being shot or killing themselves.. He owes the officer an apology and maybe the police should not take their guns on the premises when there is a crazy or terrorist and let the professor defend them.
