A gun carrying criminal is dead after he pulled a gun on a man outside a bar in Chester, PA. The victim he chose happened to be a CCW carrier who fought back and shot the suspect.
According to articles.philly.com,
A 31-year-old Chester man with an arrest history armed with a handgun tried to rob a 22-year-old Marcus Hook man about 12:55 a.m. on the 2900 block of West Third Street near Bill’s Tavern, police said.
The younger man had a permit to carry a concealed weapon and exchanged fire with the robber, who illegally carried the gun, police said. Both men were shot and taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
The robber was pronounced dead at the hospital, the victim was in serious condition, said Detective James Nolan. He said the dead man’s identity was withheld until family is notified.
You will notice in this self-defense story that it was not the law or even the police that stopped a criminal with an arrest history from carrying a gun. In fact, if you just listened to the ant-gun lawmakers you would think that it’s impossible for these crooks to get their hands on guns.
After all, how can a criminal buy a gun when he can’t pass a background check right? What the gun-ban happy activists forget is that criminals don’t buy their guns legally. And stripping legal gun owners from their rights does not help protect anyone but the crooks.
Although the victim in this story was injured, he is alive to tell the story. If you think the criminal would have just left the man alone if he gave him what he wanted then you don’t really understand criminals very well.
“It appears the deceased attempted to rob the other male and lost the gunfight,” said Chester Detective James Nolan.
