The 23-year-old woman in this surveillance video showed a lot of patience as a knife-wielding attacker came at her. Who knows what kind of substance this guy was on as he also used an umbrella to go after the woman, but it’s obvious he was unpredictable and very capable of seriously harming the woman before she finally took action against him.
This confrontation occurred Sunday evening at the Gulf station located on Cullen Boulevard near Yellowstone in southeast Houston. Surveillance video shows the shooter, described as a 23-year-old woman, retrieving a rifle from the trunk of her car and pointing it toward the ground near a man armed with an umbrella and a pocket knife. Then it shows the man swinging at the woman as she steps back and fires the weapon.
Hopefully enough criminals will watch this video to realize that Texas law does not give citizens the duty to retreat and give all the criminals plenty of freedom to inflict violence and fear into the hearts their victims. This kind of realization will show them that their jobs aren’t as safe as they thought.
Will you hear about this in the national news? Nope. But that’s why we started this site. We think you have the right to know how guns are used every day in self-defense to stop the bad guys when the cops simply can’t be there.
